Walnut and Aztec Gold Coasters

At PDS Wood Designs, the three core scientific disciplines come together to create one-of-a-kind art with each piece. No two items are ever alike:

- Biology: Premium, sustainably sourced wood is used to showcase distinct woodgrain patterns.
  
- Chemistry: Epoxy resin is carefully mixed with mica pigments, then sanded and finished with a natural, food-safe coating for a durable, hard-wearing result.

- Physics: During the curing process, an exothermic reaction generates heat. The mica pigments respond to the convection currents produced by the heat, creating unique patterns.

Every piece is handcrafted in Prince Edward County, Ontario.
