Simmering Sauce

County Fare handcrafts small batches of specialty food products, including fruit-packed, no-sugar-added spreads, ketchup, and barbecue sauce—all free from artificial preservatives, sweeteners, and food coloring. Every product is gluten- and GMO-free, embodying their passion for the art and culture of good eating. Since opening a small retail shop at their Picton home in 2012 during the "Maple in the County" festival, County Fare has come a long way.

What began as a small home canning business selling at the local Wellington Farmers’ Market and craft fairs has now expanded to over 180 retail stores across Ontario, including Metro, Sobeys, and Foodland. Owners Naneen, her husband Greg, and sister Laurie bring a combined 70+ years of food industry experience, with Greg’s background in organic and natural foods and Laurie’s experience in the restaurant business. Their eldest son Owen handles all the branding, and friends and family lend a hand when needed.
